Brothers and White Guys Racing (BWG Racing) was established in 2004 with a focus on enhancing diversity within the motor sports community and creating a positive experience for all race attendees.
How did we become Brothers and White Guys Racing?
It all started in 1999 in the parking lot of the Phoenix International Raceway. On that nice November day four brothers of African American descent were tailgating when they were approached by some white guys who struck up a conversation. That simple conversation of two different racial backgrounds at a motor sports event grew into an inclusive friendship which was the beginning of BWG Racing Inc.
In 2003, this multi–cultural group of race fans decided they needed to exhibit to the racing community how to increase diversity and inclusiveness at motor sports events by founding BWG Racing Inc. In 2004, we established our mission statement and board of directors and incorporated as a non-profit entity in February 2005.
BWG Racing Inc. is a tax exempt 501 © 3 organization registered with the Office of the Secretary of State of Illinois.
